At least Internet Explorer version 6 is needed to use Project Web Access.

December 10, 2012

When opening the Project Web Access site of Project Server 2007 using Internet Explorer 10, you receive the following error:

At least Internet Explorer version 6 is needed to use Project Web Access.

Apparently IE10 is not compatible with PWA 2007, but you can change the browser mode in IE to be able to use the PWA.
Press F12 in the browser to open the developer tools and in the “Browser Mode: IE10” menu select “Internet Explorer 9”. This will make the PWA believe that it is viewed via IE9 and it will work, at least our first smoke test passed.

Error details:

Server Error in ‘/’ Application.
